Craft NB is looking to hire a professional, creative and driven individual as Communications & Marketing Coordinator, starting as soon as possible. This person will be first point of contact for general public, stakeholders and Craft NB members, and must maintain and update the NBCC website and social media platforms. The Coordinator will also plan and create communications, graphic design and marketing for the organisation, and coordinate membership development, maintain member database, and oversee jurying tasks and applicant communication.

Title: Communications & Marketing Coordinator

Terms of Employment: Part-time, 24 hrs/week

Start Date:  ASAP

Location: Fredericton, New Brunswick

Other responsibilities include:

  • Work with committees as needed
  • Create monthly e-newsletters
  • Organize, archive and maintain the permanent collection (and oversee 2017 summer student to help with this task)
  • Assist with grant writing and sponsorship and research grant and funding opportunities
  • Work with partner organisations on specific projects as assigned by the Executive Director and Project Manager
  • Collect, analyze and present data in relation to members and events
  • Brainstorm, problem solve and idea generate with Craft NB team
  • Ensure and coordinate the timely translation of materials as directed
  • Archive materials from Council events, activities and media articles
  • Collect volunteer minutes from committees, board members and volunteers
  • Assist with Craft NB events as needed
  • Maintain office supplies and equipment and perform weekly housekeeping duties

Requirements:

  • Microsoft Office and computer skills are essential
  • Social media and web marketing experience,
  • Experience with WordPress and website creation/editing
  • Strong graphic design skills, Adobe Creative Suite and brand understanding
  • Self-motivated and ability to juggle multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills in two languages
  • Comfortable working independently and as a team
  • Learn quickly and have a keen knowledge and understanding of new technology
  • Experience in communications and marketing for an organisation

  • Previous administrative experience
