We are now accepting applications for the 2020 Emerging Artisan program!
The Craft NB Emerging Artisans program aims to help craftspeople and artists who are at the beginning stages of their career. Ideal candidates for this program are students, artists new to selling their work or those looking for help in areas such as: professional development, grant writing, research and work creation for exhibitions, retail, selling at festivals, exporting and more!
Based on the needs of the Emerging Artisans, each participant receives a series of one-on-one mentorship meetings (formally “coffee dates”) with some of our Juried Members who have specialized knowledge on the skills that the Emerging Artisans are looking to build upon. Depending on the availability and location of emerging artisans and mentors, meetings may be done in person, phone, email or by teleconferencing (skype, etc.).
We aim to intake 4-5 participants – so space is limited.
To apply please send the following:
- Letter of interest (1-2 page max) – please include specific areas of interest you would like to learn about (grant writing, etc.)
- Samples of your work (file size under 1 Mb)
Applications close: February 28th at 4:30pm
Applicants will be notified (whether accepted or not) no later than: March 13th at 4:30pm
Please note: Those accepted into the Emerging Artisans program must hold an Emerging Artisan membership ($50+tax) with us.
