Terms of Employment: Full time, 8 weeks, daytime, $11.25/hour

Job Description

Craft NB is looking to hire a professional, creative and driven individual as Content Creator & Marketing Assistant, starting June 19th. Get to know the inner-workings of a non-profit organization, gain valuable content marketing skills, conduct artist interviews and photoshoots, experience working in a professional, fast-paced environment, support fine craft and the cultural sector in New Brunswick, and have fun in a dynamic position!

 

The Content Creator & Marketing Assistant will:

  • Plan and create marketing content for the organization
  • Travel to artists’ studios to conduct interviews and photoshoots
  • Help the Marketing Manager with creating and working on marketing initiatives
  • Work with the Marketing Manager to maintain and update the CNB blog and social media platforms
  • Collect content to be featured in the monthly e-newsletters (ie. local arts events, member activities)
  • Work with committees as needed
  • Brainstorm, problem solve and idea generate with the Craft NB team
  • Provide assistance with the organization of the Craft NB Summer Festival in Fredericton NB
  • Maintain office supplies and equipment and perform weekly housekeeping duties

 

Requirements:

  • Strong photography and videography skills
  • Strong photo and video editing skills with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Lightroom, Premiere Pro)
  • Social media and web marketing experience
  • Microsoft Office and computer skills
  • Experience with WordPress
  • Self-motivated and ability to juggle multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills
  • Comfortable working independently and as a team
  • Experience in content creation and marketing for an organization
  • Own transportation (for travelling to artists’ studios)
  • Must be between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of employment
  • Must have been registered as a full-time student during the preceding academic year
  • Must intend to return to school on a full-time basis during the next academic year
  • Must be a student in a secondary, post-secondary, vocational or technical program
  • Must be a Canadian Citizen, permanent resident, or person on whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act
  • Must be legally entitled to work according to the relevant provincial regulations

 

Assets:

  • Own laptop that can be brought to work
  • Bilingualism and ability to translate
  • Content development experience
  • A genuine interest in the craft sector or a career in arts administration
  • Google Adwords experience
  • Experience with non-profits
